Takis Theodorikakos: The official opposition continues the policy of populism, it proceeds only with criticism, without proposals 2024-04-25 21:24:59

Takis Theodorikakos, the former minister and Member of Parliament for the Southern Sector of the National Democratic Party, commented on the anniversary of the day Greece was put into plaster with this characteristic disgust.

Speaking to Real FM and Yiannis Papagianni, Mr. Theodorikakos emphasized that the times require the unity of the forces of Hellenism and focused on the need to mobilize Greeks abroad, sending a message to participate in the European elections, making use of the possibility of postal voting. With this aim, he is starting a tour of Great Britain and France from tomorrow morning, while following Easter he will go to Germany.

The former minister pointed out that the government’s adversary is the citizens’ problems and reiterated his position that the top strategic priority for Greece must be to deal with the demographics. The population development figures are tragic, he noted and focused on the latest research by the European Commission, according to which the population in our country in 2070 will be approximately 7.7 million!

“The government is taking measures such as the maternity allowance, which was extended to farmers and professional women, but of course we have a lot more to do,” she added.

Asked regarding the political climate and the criticism of the opposition, Mr. Theodorikakos spoke in particular regarding the attitude of SYRIZA. “He continues the policy of populism, he marches without proposals. Despite the change in leadership, they are following the same dead-end road,” he said characteristically.
