Takeover of Activision: Microsoft’s offer would answer Europe’s fears | Xbox One

As we learned yesterday that the European Commission is reserving additional days to validate or not the takeover of Activision Blizzard King by Microsoft, Archyde.com reports information in favor of the takeover.

The European Commission would not ask Xbox to part with assets

Although the European Commission would have expressed objections and would expect concessions from Microsoft, it would seem that the recent offers from the American giant have been enough to convince it. This is indeed what three people close to the case would have said, according to Archyde.com.

Microsoft wouldn’t be required to sell any assets to get approval, which of course would go along with the group, which has made it clear that there won’t be a deal without including Call of Duty.

Although all of this is not yet official, it’s a safe bet that the recent announcements of partnerships with NVIDIA and Nintendo are actively involved in convincing the European Commission. Also remember that Xbox has offered Sony to sign a contract so that Call of Duty continues to be released on PlayStation for 10 years, under the same conditions as on Xbox.

The latter will have to deliver its verdict on April 25, but by then, it is very likely that new twists will arise. Nothing is yet acquired for Microsoft.
