Private Division, the publishing brand of Take-Two Interactive, announced that it will sign cooperation with four independent game developers, Die Gute Fabrik, Evening Star, Piccolo Studio, and Yellow Brick Games, and will assist them in publishing game works in the future.
Die Gute Fabrik was founded by Nils Deneken in 2008. The current CEO and creative director is Hannah Nicklin. The company is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, and mainly develops story-driven games. His well-known work “Mutazione” won the 2019 IGF and IndieCade independent game awards. It describes a bizarre small town soap opera revolving around paranormal phenomena. At the same time, he is good at drawing inspiration from various history and culture. He is currently working on a new story game. .
Evening Star, co-founded in 2018 by Christian Whitehead, Dave Padilla, Tom Fry, Hunter Bridges and Brad Flick, is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in London and Melbourne. The founders have produced the acclaimed action game “Sonic Mania Plus” under SEGA in the past, and the first game of Evening Star has not yet been released. It will be a 3D action platform game made with its patented Star Engine.
Piccolo Studio was co-founded in 2015 by Alexis Corominas, Jordi Ministral and Oriol Pujado, when the three besties quit their promising Barcelona ad agency jobs to pursue their dreams of building video games. Piccolo’s first title, Arise: A Simple Story, was well-received in terms of plot and gameplay, and the studio is working with Private Division to develop a unique new IP.
As for Yellow Brick Games in Quebec, founded in 2020 in Quebec, Canada by industry veterans Thomas Giroux, Mike Laidlaw, Jeff Skalski and Frederic St-Laurent B, its members have experience in developing several successful AAA titles, such as ” “Dragon Age”, “Assassin’s Creed” and “Rainbow Six” series, etc. Although the team is not large, it is currently working on an ambitious action RPG game by making use of the game system with creative features, leaving more room for players to make decisions, and creating a rich and highly interactive game world.
Private Division will announce more details of new works together with developers in the future. Currently, all four games are in the early development stage, and the exact time to market has not been determined. It is expected that the first completed works will be launched in Take-Two’s 2024 fiscal year.
