In mid-September, the Salzburg train station district will once once more be the scene of the “Take the A-Train” music festival. The concert series now has eight venues. The program, which included more than 30 concerts, was presented on Friday.

Unlike 2020 and 2021, this year there will once more be a large main stage on the station forecourt. Musical diversity, conveyed by the diversity of the invited artists – that has always been the concept of the Take The A-Train Festival in the Elisabeth suburb.

Well-known artists should be given a stage as well as unknown musicians. This year, Manu Delago and “Buntspecht” will be performing on the various stages around Salzburg’s main train station, as will the Salzburg bands “Magic Delphin” and “Please Madame” – most of the concerts are free of charge .

“People should be able to experience culture easily”

The social character of the festival is important to the organizers, emphasizes Markus Rauchmann, one of the organizers of the festival. “Our target group are people who want to experience culture in a low-threshold way. This is very important to us, and we also like to cooperate with organizations such as Caritas or the Ukraine Aid. Especially the area around the main station is always a kind of reflection of the current social problems. We’re happy if we can make a contribution and we do it with a lot of passion in the club,” says Rauchmann.

The total budget of the festival is 85,000 euros. Also this year the festival will start a week before its actual start with a kick-off event on September 9th – the actual festival will then last from September 15th to 18th – More regarding the program.
