The Indian team won the match by 132 runs in the first Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Australia, who batted first in the innings, were bowled out for 177 runs in the match.
India won the match by an innings and 132 runs as the Aussies were bowled out for just 91 runs in the second innings to win the match.
Rohit Sharma scored 120 runs, Jadeja scored 70 runs and Axar Patel scored 84 runs to boost the Indian batting rate, while the spin balls of Jadeja and Ashwin destroyed the Aussie batting line-up.
But in the first test, Shami and Siraj showed a very lackluster performance. Therefore, in the second Test of the series, former Pakistan player Danish Kaneria has come forward advising him to replace Shami or Siraj with Kuldeep Yadav in the team.
Kaneria opined that having Kuldeep in the team would benefit India and the Indian bowling department would be able to execute the spin attack more effectively.
Kaneria opened up regarding her views on Kuldeep in a video posted on her YouTube channel.
“I know the Indian team does not want to make changes to their winning team. But my opinion is that Kuldeep should be brought to the Indian team.
Kuldeep should be brought in instead of Shami or Siraj. Kuldeep the spinner can bring a lot of turn on the track,’ said Kaneria.
In the first India-Aussie Test, 16 out of 20 Aussie wickets were taken by the spinners. The second match of the series will be played in Delhi on February 17.
