The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will take place early Saturday (27/7) WIB. However, several sports have already started to be competed since before the opening.
The first medal of the 2024 Olympics will be up for grabs in the 10m mixed air rifle team shooting event on Saturday (27/7). The mixed air rifle team final will be the first event to compete for a medal.
Medals will also be up for grabs in several other sports such as diving, fencing, judo, road cycling, rugby, skateboarding and swimming.
For diving, there will be the final of the women’s 3-meter diving board. In fencing, the gold and bronze medals will be won in the men’s sabre, and the gold and bronze medals will be won in the women’s épée.
For judo, there are medals to be won in the women’s 48 kg and men’s 60 kg categories.
From the road cycling sport, there will be a medal fight in the women’s individual time trial and men’s individual time trial disciplines. The rugby sport will compete for men’s gold and bronze medals.
Shooting will compete in a mixed team 10-meter air rifle. Then, skateboarding will compete in the men’s road medal event.
For swimming, there are medals for the men’s 400m freestyle, women’s 400m freestyle, women’s 4x100m freestyle relay, men’s 4x100m freestyle relay. Unfortunately, of all the sports and disciplines, there are no Indonesian representatives competing. (Z-11)
