HRC (Honda Racing) has announced that it has agreed to a contract with Takaaki Nakagami, who is competing in the FIM Road Racing World Championship MotoGP class with LCR Honda IDEMITSU, from 2023 onwards. did.

Takaaki Nakagami participated in the Moto2 class for the first time in 2012. Since 2014, as part of Honda’s efforts to nurture Asian riders who are active in the world, “IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia” has participated in the race.

In 2018, he was promoted to the MotoGP class, the highest class, and ranked 20th. At the 2021 Aragon GP, ​​he has achieved 200 Grand Prix races, the most for a Japanese rider. This season’s results are currently 16th in the ranking (as of the end of the 14th round, San Marino GP), but he is a rider that is expected to perform even better in the future.
