The luxury real estate market is on the rise in Brazil. Research by Brain – Strategic Intelligence shows that sales of properties starting at R$1.5 million increased 10.6% in the first half of 2024, compared to the same period last year, to 5.7 thousand units. A record, according to the consultancy. The General Sales Value (PSV) reached R$17.2 billion, an increase of 10.8% on the same basis of comparison. Inserted in the high-end market since 2021, Grand Construtora confirms this growth.
Responsible for the development of the Taj Home Resort in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, aimed at the high-income public, the construction company informs that more than 50% of the units have already been sold even before the completion of the two towers, with 25 and 50 floors.
Rodrigo Barbosa, CEO of Grand Construtora, explains that, in addition to the architectural design, the company is incorporating into the project materials and equipment that meet the requirements demanded by consumers in the luxury real estate market, who are increasingly looking for smart homes, supported by technological solutions. cutting edge. “They want to have a complete experience, which goes beyond design and large, bold spaces,” he says.
Among the Taj’s biggest differences in this regard, Barbosa highlights, is the recently signed contract with Otis Elevadores, a partner of the construction company for over 20 years, which will be responsible for installing the equipment for vertical transport in the residential building. Scheduled for delivery in November 2026, the Taj Home Resort will feature 16 high-performance elevators, including the SkyRise, Arise and Gen2 Comfort models, developed by the multinational.
Technology is a differentiator in the luxury real estate market
Highlights include the four elevator units of the SkyRise model, designed for skyscrapers and capable of reaching a speed of six meters per second — the equivalent of two floors every second. “This is the first time that Espírito Santo has received this technology, and it will also be the first residential area to use these elevators which, to date, have only been installed in one commercial building in São Paulo”, says the founder of Grand Construtora.
Barbosa says that the partnership with Otis represents an essential competitive differentiator for the venture. According to the executive, the elevators offer safe and silent vertical transportation, quickly connecting leisure areas to apartments and other areas of the complex.
The Taj Home Resort has a vast leisure area, with more than 21 thousand square meters, which includes swimming pools, gyms, spa, Beach Club, restaurants and several sports courts. With apartments with three and four suites, the project focuses on contemporary design and the integration between technology and nature, through biophilic design — an approach that uses natural elements to create environments that benefit well-being and quality of life.
“We are proud to provide vertical transportation for the future residents of the Taj Home Resort, moving them to their destinations and also to the leisure spaces, which are one of the hallmarks of this high standard project”, says Álvaro Netto, General Director of Otis Brasil .
The Grand Construction Company
Grand Construtora, founded in 2013 by Rodrigo Barbosa and his partners, who together have more than 25 years of experience in the market, quickly established itself as one of the main names in construction in the Espírito Santo market, accumulating more than 300 thousand m² of works launched. Vila Velha has been one of Grand’s strategic focuses this year, given the potential demand from the high-luxury real estate sector in the city.
“Espírito Santo has enormous potential for the luxury real estate market, and Vila Velha stands out in this scenario. We are proud to contribute to the development of this region, bringing projects that meet the highest quality standards. Our commitment is to continue innovating and raising the level of civil construction in Brazil, with the aim of expanding our business to other regions of the country”, explains Barbosa, CEO of Grand Construtora.
