Taiwan’s President Meets Representatives of Democratic House of Representatives in US

Bloomberg News reported on the 1st that Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, who passed through the United States, met with Democratic Party leader Hakim Jeffries.

Bloomberg News reported that on the 5th, President Tsai will meet with US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and give a speech at the Reagan Library in California.

After arriving in New York on the 29th of last month, Tsai gave a private speech at an event hosted by the US think tank Hudson Institute.

Meanwhile, Taiwan said nine Chinese military aircraft had passed through the center line of the Taiwan Strait the previous day.

Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense said China was intentionally creating tension in the Taiwan Strait and was closely monitoring the aircraft.
