Taiwanese military shoots down Chinese drone for the first time Turning with a hard response

Taiwanese forces have shot down the first Chinese drone that invaded their jurisdiction.

The Taiwanese Army’s Jinmen Defense Command said that at 12:03 pm local time on the 1st, an unidentified drone entered the waters of an island attached to Jinmen Dao and tried to evacuate according to the response procedure, but in response, it was shot down with a defensive fire.

Since the 30th of last month, the Taiwanese military has increased the level of response by firing live ammunition defensive fire at Chinese drones that have entered its jurisdiction, and this is the first time that the drones have been shot down.

In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Wang Wenbin said, “We are not aware of the situation and it is meaningless for Taiwan to exaggerate tensions.”
