Taiwan warns against smuggling pork from Thailand Violators will be fined 2 hundred thousand baht.

Foreign news agencies reported that Taiwan’s Central Emergency Operations Center (CEOC) on African Swine Fever (ASF) announced on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2021 that anyone who smuggled pork or pork products from Thailand into will be fined at least $200,000TaiwanNew (regarding 240,000 baht) following the disease was confirmed in this Southeast Asian nation.

CEOC’s move comes following Thailand’s Department of Livestock Development has confirmed for the first time that the virus has been found.
