Taiwan adds 44,428 new confirmed cases of new crown, 103 new deaths
Xinhua News Agency, Taipei, June 28. The Taiwan Epidemic Command Center announced on the 28th that there were 44,428 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, including 44,379 local cases and 49 imported cases. Among the confirmed cases, 103 new deaths were reported.
The command center stated that the new local cases were 21,130 males, 23,229 females, and 20 under investigation, ranging in age from under 5 years old to over 90 years old.
The command center said that the new deaths that day were 60 males and 43 females, aged between their 30s and 90s, and 60 of them had not received 3 doses of the new crown vaccine. There were 180 new cases of moderate and severe cases on the same day, including a severe case in a girl, which is currently the youngest case of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C).
Statistics show that as of now, there have been 3,686,338 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan, including 3,671,855 local cases.
