[台北 8日 ロイター] – Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense announced on the 8th that 37 Chinese Air Force planes entered the Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) and activated the defense system.

From 5:00 a.m. local time (6:00 a.m. Japan time), 37 aircraft, including J11 and J16 fighters and H6 bombers, were detected flying toward the southwestern tip of the ADIZ, and aircraft and ships were dispatched to monitor them, along with land missiles. The system is said to have been activated.

Some of the planes flew southeast of Taiwan to the western Pacific for “air surveillance and long-distance navigation training,” the defense ministry said.

China’s defense ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

China completed the second phase of its joint patrol flight with the Russian military over the western Pacific Ocean on the 7th. The previous day, it had flown over the Sea of ​​Japan and the East China Sea.
