During the Aid Al Fitr period, hotels recorded occupancy peaks, exceeding 95%.

Seaside The recovery of tourist activity is confirmed in the Agadir region. The Taghazout Bay resort is notably recording very good performances. During the Aid Al Fitr period, its hotels recorded occupancy peaks, some of which exceeded 95%, says a professional. Recalling that during the Passover celebrations the destination was also full. During the first half of April, for ten days, the seaside resort lived to the rhythm of these celebrations. Three hotels have been privatized to accommodate hundreds of customers who have come to celebrate Passover. They were more than 500 according to the hoteliers. It is for the second consecutive year that the destination is hosting these commemorations. The return rate of Jewish customers is high at all times. The seaside resort of Taghazout Bay also hosts weddings and barmitzvas of this clientele.

Since its opening, the seaside resort has in fact become a trendy destination for these tourists from several markets and also for other customer segments. Its luxurious resorts particularly attract a high-income national clientele during each holiday period. It is also, let us remember, a highly rated world surfing destination. There is also the animation component which is developing. Taghazout Surf Expo, electro music festival scheduled in June, congresses and incentives, events are on the program in all seasons. These are all ingredients that make the success of Taghazout Bay today. And today, the outlook for the next few months is very promising. The destination should fill up during the Aid Al Adha period thanks to the national clientele.
For the Agadir region, the national market is still the main source market. During the first quarter of 2023, with more than 82,000 arrivals and nearly 193,000 overnight stays, this market exceeded the performance recorded in 2019 and well beyond that of 2022 during which the Agadir region had respectively accumulated more than 74,200 and 71,500 arrivals. Overnight stays for their part had respectively reached figures of nearly 155,700 in 2019 and more than 156,500 in 2022.

In addition to the potential of Taghazout Bay, the bay of Agadir, which is the subject of a vast embellishment programme, should be more attractive in the short term. It remains to continue upgrading its bedding capacities and to initiate solutions for the reopening of closed hotels in the resort.
