Buffalo Sabers forward Tage Thompson suffered an upper-body injury on Wednesday and will miss National Hockey League (NHL) All-Star Weekend.
As a result, teammate Rasmus Dahlin will join the Atlantic Division roster and represent the Sabers at the event scheduled for Sunrise, Fla., Friday and Saturday.
Thompson stayed in the locker room during the third period of the last game, a 5-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. Having forfeited a training session a few days ago, he saw his name put on the crippled list on Thursday.
