The 75-year-old monarch, following being diagnosed with cancer, is said to have started making plans for the future of the monarchy. According to royal expert and author Tom Quinn, Charles’ failing health has prompted him to develop a concrete plan for when the time comes to hand over the reins to Prince William.
“The succession planning is top secret and no one trusts Harry to be involved in it, for the simple reason that if he feels he is being insulted in any way or not being given what he thinks he deserves, he will run straight to the media Tom Quinn told the Mirror newspaper.

Must be King Charles III. (74) Let Prince Harry (39) stay overnight at Kensington Palace on his next visit to Great Britain? According to the royal family, the royal family has rejected such speculation.
The rumors apparently relate to alleged discussions regarding the Duke of Sussex’s role as Councilor of State. Prince Harry is one of seven members of the royal family.
As the Daily Mail reports, among others, state councilors must by law have a home in Great Britain. But Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (42) emigrated to the USA in 2020.
Harry currently has no residence in England. At the beginning of the year, the Sussexes had to vacate their Frogmore Cottage. Apparently that’s what King Charles wanted.
Palace sources are said to have told the Sunday Times that one option is an apartment in Kensington Palace.
As the Daily Mail reports, a friend of Charles’s reportedly told The Times: “The King can see that removing Harry as Councilor of State would be seen as an act of hostility. And he doesn’t want to do that.”
It might therefore be a “sensible measure” to set up an apartment for Prince Harry on a royal estate.
However, this idea was apparently quickly rejected. Buckingham Palace told the newspaper: “These allegations are not true.”
The state councilors currently include Queen Camilla (76) and heir to the throne Prince William (41). Prince Harry, Prince Andrew (63), Andrew’s daughter Princess Beatrice (35), Prince Edward (59) and Princess Anne (73).
