Tadej Pogacar will not finally take the start of the Vuelta on August 19. In the Slovenian’s end-of-season program, the Tour of Spain is not included. However, at the start of the season, Pogacar had announced its participation. After finishing second in the Tour de France 2022, the Slovenian has decided to lighten his program for the month of August where he will only take part in one race, on August 28 at GP Plouay.
Pogacar may be blunted by the efforts made on the Grande Boucle. Jonas Vingegaardthe recent winner of the Tour, confirmed to the Spanish press a few days ago that he will not participate in the Vuelta either.
