From the Junín municipality in the state of Táchira, neighbors alerted about the presence of at least 7 men and a woman without identification, dressed in black and hooded, who began a pursuit against the Regional Coordinator of the Comando Con Vzla, Luis Carrero.

According to information provided by neighbors, these people followed Professor Luis Carrero, who ran down the block of his home alerting the neighbors. They followed him to the door of his house, where he was caught by the hooded men, beaten and dragged along the street.

Seeing himself cornered, Carrero threw his cell phone onto the roof of a nearby house, but the hooded men went after him. Neighbors said that after this, they entered his house, where they threatened him and also took his wife’s cell phone.

The Vente en Táchira organization reported on his condition, saying that he is well and in safekeeping.

Threatening messages in the municipalities of Guásimos and Bolívar

During the night of Friday, July 26, spokesmen for the Con Vzla command reported the arrest of the municipal coordinator of Córdoba, German López, by officials of the Sebin and the PNB. Both his family and representatives of the political organization do not know his whereabouts.
