One person was reported dead in the Guásimos municipality of Táchira state, after the surprise arrival of an armed group at the Jhon F. Kennedy school, located in Patiecitos.
After the voting process was over, a group of citizens spent the night outside the voting center in Guásimos, to be part of the witnesses who could verify the results of the report. A few minutes later a group of hooded men arrived at the scene carrying long weapons.
According to the police report shared with the media, Julio Valerio Garcia, 40 years old, was admitted to the Central Hospital of San Cristóbal with a gunshot wound to his right cheek, with no vital signs. Next to him was Valerio García, 67 years old, who was wounded by a shower graze in the abdomen.
Two injured in the municipality of Córdoba after the arrival of armed groups
A moment of anguish was experienced in the municipality of Córdoba in the state of Táchira, when an armed group approached the voting centers where citizens were still waiting for the results. It was learned that two people were injured and were transferred to the medical center.
