Tabs arrive in Windows 11 File Explorer

A few hours ago Microsoft released the Build 22572 Windows 11 on the Windows Insider Dev Channel. However, beyond its interesting news and corrections, it seems that this build brought a “hidden” novelty that has caught us all by surprise: the tabs in File Explorer.

Tabs are finally coming to File Explorer

Has been Raphael Rivera, well-known Insider, the first to echo this very interesting novelty. Tabs in File Explorer have been one of the most requested features by users since the days of Windows 10 for years. In fact, they were regarding to become a reality thanks to “Sets”, a proposal that Microsoft scrapped.

In this way, it seems that Microsoft continues and continues to add weight to the list of new features of Windows 11 22H2, the update that will arrive in 2022 with more news than Windows 11 itself at its launch. We will have performance improvements, improvements for touch devices, a new Task Manager, folders in the Start Menu, improvements in the gaming section… What great times are ahead for Windows!
