The smartphone market is not the only one affected by the current economic difficulties.
Tablet market, a year of decline
Thus the tablets+laptops sector experienced a 14% drop in sales in the second quarter of 2022. Tablets in particular are experiencing a decline for the fourth consecutive quarter, with a drop of 11% compared to the second quarter of 2021.
Top 3 of the Tablet market
Leading the industry are still Apple’s iPads, followed by tablets from Samsung and then Lenovo. iPad sales were down 15% from a year earlier, with 12.1 million units sold in the second quarter worldwide. Samsung is second with 7 million, a decrease of 13%.
End of the Covid-19 pandemic unfavorable to the Tablet market
