Miyu Nagasaki (20) and Miwa Harimoto (14) of Kinoshita Avieru Kanagawa (1st place in the regular season) defeated Nippon Life Red Elf’s Hina Hayata (22) and Kasei Akae (18) 2-1. We made a good start to the first victory.

The first match began with the audience filling up to the top of the arena. Nagasaki and Harimoto lost the first game (G) 7-11, but took the second G 11-9. The final 3rd G, which started from 6-6 by regulation, continued to return the opponent’s powerful forehand to the table while being entangled in juice, and won 14-12.

After winning their first match, the two, who are six years apart, smiled and hugged. Harimoto said, “Right now, I feel relieved and full of joy.”
