Tabaski in Bogandé: Peace and sharing at the center of the celebration

Bogandé, July 09, 2022 (AIB)- The Muslim faithful of the city of Bogandé and the surrounding villages like others in Burkina Faso celebrated on Saturday July 09, 2022, the feast of Eid El Kebir.

The Muslim faithful of Bogandé stormed the old football field of the provincial high school, the usual place of great prayers, on Saturday July 09, 2022, the feast day of Eid-El-Kébir.

The Tabaski also called the feast of the sheep is marked by the immolation of a ram. A highly spiritual act for the Muslim, symbol of a sacrifice offered to God.

The prayer was led by Imam Amadou Dinyeri of the city’s Grand Mosque. In his sermon, he urged the Muslim faithful to unity and brotherhood for more peace in Burkina Faso.

In this festive period, He also invited the Muslim faithful to share with everyone without exception.

As is customary, the administrative authorities and those of the Catholic Church went to wish them a happy Eid-El-Kébir celebration.

At the end of the prayer and the sermon, the great imam Amadou Dinyeri immolated a ram as a sacrifice of Abraham.
