TAAG resumes cargo service on the Luanda/Liége route – Jornal OPaís

TAAG, Linhas Aéreas de Angola, has just renewed its partnership with Network Airline Management (NAM), an entity specialized in freighter fleet management. The partnership contract consists of an annual leasing agreement for a Boeing 747-400F freighter, which will guarantee the connection between Luanda and the European hub of Liége (Belgium).

The flights will be operated by TAAG, weekly on Fridays, from the new Luanda Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN). The Boeing 747-400F freighter has a load capacity of up to 120 tons, namely large and sized material, such as parts up to 20 meters long that can be quickly loaded onto the aircraft.

This freighter will respond to the demand indicators and cargo mobilization needs of various customers, particularly those in the industrial sector and the oil and gas ecosystem. The Luanda–Liége route lasts nine hours and is the cargo route with the greatest contribution in terms of revenue and volume of cargo transported, namely with 2,712,009 kg registered in 2023.

TAAG, and with the operation of the B747-400F in particular, estimates moving around 320 tons of diverse cargo per month, capitalizing on the new airport infrastructure in Luanda, Dr. António Agostinho Neto.
