The Central Única das Favelas, CUFA, announced this Thursday (19) the 2023 edition of Free Fire Favela Cup, a competition that brings together teams made up of players from communities across Brazil. The games are scheduled for November and December this year.

Registration begins this Friday (20), at 12pm, via the official competition website, and last a few days, until October 26th. After the date, favela leaders will conduct a selection process to choose the players who will represent their teams in the Free Fire 2023 Favela Cup.

The Taça das Favelas, which already has more than a decade of tradition in football, was expanded in 2020 to include the Free Fire modality. The partnership with Garena has been fundamental to the growth and consolidation of this championship, according to Marcus Vinicius Athayde, director of innovation at CUFA.

“The Taça das Favelas represents a project of profound significance for Garena, which is why we feel extremely honored to support and join forces with CUFA for another edition of this event. CUFA, as an exemplary entity, has stood out extraordinarily in conducting the Favelas Cup”, says Atila Gracco, Esports Manager at Garena.

In November, the teams from the participating favelas will compete in the state stages, where the champion of each state will guarantee a place in the national stage. The state runners-up, in turn, will be able to compete in a qualifying round to join the 27 regional champions in the national phase of the tournament, which will take place on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of December.

The final of the Taça das Favelas Free Fire 2023 is scheduled for December 9th, with live broadcast on the Taça das Favelas Free Fire channels and the Free Fire Esports channel on YouTube.
