Prime Matter and Nightdive Studios have released a new System Shock gameplay trailer alongside the psychopathic AI Shodan.
What can you expect in the game?
The game is a full remake of the groundbreaking 1994 original, combining iconic gameplay with all-new HD graphics, updated controls, an overhauled UI, and all-new sounds and music. The developers at Nightdive Studios have worked very closely with the original System Shock team – including the voice of SHODAN – Terri Brosius to ensure the remake stays true to its origins while also attracting new players to the title.
Players must use a combination of stealth, cunning and futuristic weaponry to make their way through the Citadel Station’s all-new areas, traps, puzzles and mysteries to reach SHODAN. Facing them is an army of hostile and mutant creatures created and controlled by SHODAN himself, which players must overcome through a combination of stealth, subterfuge and extreme violence.
System Shock Available for pre-order now: for PC on Steam, GOG and the Epic Game Store; a playable demo is also available here. The game will be released for PS4/PS5 and Xbox S/X as well as Xbox One.
