SYRIZA insists on the removal of Vassilis Kikilia

Instead of official answers, “government sources” were recruited to add toxicity to the political confrontation, SYRIZA complains. The official opposition party is still calling for the dismissal of the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikilia.

In a statement, SYRIZA insists on the need to remove Vassilis Kikilia for the devastating fire in northeastern Attica, while at the same time accusing the government of “arena” logic for disorienting the debate.

In fact, the official opposition party speaks of “recruitment of “government sources” to increase “toxicity”, continuing to call for Kikilia’s dismissal, since, as it states, “on the basis of its own Civil Protection plan, a forest fire it reached enormous distances and hit urban areas in Attica”.

“The ND government has not given any substantial answer to the official opposition regarding the real causes of the disaster. All words and style and nothing from specific facts” says a statement from the Press Office of the SYRIZA PS, responding to the “government sources”, noting that “V. Kikilias is still a minister, when on the basis of his own Civil Protection planning, a forest fire it reached enormous distances and hit urban areas in Attica”.

“Instead of official answers, “government sources” were now recruited to give the political confrontation toxicity on the part of the government, derogatory expressions for the official opposition leader, distortion of reality. A logical “arena” for the disorientation of the debate, when the Greek people are entitled to full information” adds SYRIZA and concludes by commenting:

“I wish he had prevented the fire from spreading with the same fervor and efficiency. Perhaps many houses and properties would have been saved.”
