Tones remain high with SYRIZA president Stefanos Kasselakis accusing the Group of 87 of “again they gave breathing space to the Mitsotakis regime” and Pavlos Polakis to question him openly and no one can predict what the next day will be in the party.
The team of “87” through sources responded to Stefanos Kasselakis stressing that it is confused and accusing him of introversion. They even mention that thanks to their own pressure, although Stefanos Kasselakis did not like this, the party’s media workers will finally be paid.
In particular, sources from the group of “87” state the following:
“We leave the insults of Stefanos Kasselakis to the judgment of the members and friends of SYRIZA – PS, the entire progressive world of the country and the Greek people.
After all, we are unable to follow the confusion he is in, since once again he raised the issue of leadership by himself, through evening posts, while a few hours earlier, at the PG meeting, when everything was said and done, he declared that he is not picking up the gauntlet.
Constantly induced introversion and inadequacy have already shown their results.
Beyond that, we are satisfied with the fact that under the pressure of our own attitude today, as much as it upset Stefanos Kasselakis, the party’s media workers were only informed today that tomorrow they will finally be paid.”
Earlier Stefanos Kasselakis had openly attacked the “87” group and characterized the statement they issued as “a statement and an attitude which is regrettable and certainly below the circumstances”.
On the contrary, he did not want to confront Pavlos Polakis, saying that he “spoke on a political basis” and promised to investigate the matter of Athena Linou, while he mentioned that he would meet with him.
For his part, Pavlos Polakis he was the first to open the dance of questioning by openly raising the issue of leadership as, as Stefanos Kasselakis said, among others, “he cannot provide a political solution.
It should be noted that eight members of the body left the meeting of the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA-PS, expressing their total disagreement with the proposal of the party’s president, Stefanos Kasselakis, submitting, at the same time, their own text.
