Queues of Kasselistas have formed outside Gazi live despite the fact that the SYRIZA congress is scheduled for 18:30.
The opposition to SYRIZA is in the red while earlier executives and members who support Kasselakis went to Koumoundourou to protest the procedures being followed ahead of the SYRIZA Congress today (8/11).
In her statements, Theodora Tzakri said, among other things, that “the tactics we are experiencing from Saturday until today are happening for one and only reason: Because the party bureaucracy has established that the vast majority of delegates are in favor of Stefanos Kasselakis participating in the elections”.
In fact, he informs that he is going to submit to the presidium of the conference more than 1,934 signatures in favor of Kasselakis’ participation in the elections.
The entire statement of Ms. Jakri
“We came today as members of the CET to be officially informed about the total number of elected congressmen and the number of elected congressmen per OM and they refused to inform us.
We are now 6 days after the elections and 3 hours before the start of accreditations and hundreds of delegates of the largest Prefectural Organizations such as A’ Athens, half of East Attica, West Athens have not yet received any information that they are delegates.
Elected delegates have already arrived from all over Greece in Athens and are still arriving and still do not know if they will be allowed to enter the conference, despite the fact that they are trying to contact Koumoundourou.
All these strategies that we are experiencing from Saturday until today are happening for one and only reason: Because the party bureaucracy has established that the vast majority of delegates are in favor of Stefanos Kasselakis participating in the elections for the nomination of the president and against his exclusion .
An indelible element of this event is this usb stick, which includes 1,934 statements of delegates in favor of the participation of Mr. Kasselakis and these statements will exceed 2,000 by the time the Congress begins.
Based on the data we have collected from all the OMs of the country, the total number of delegates is 3,587 delegates, while they themselves confessed that they do not know. Any other number announced is the result of the six-day cooking.
We will be there.
Democracy will win!”
Thanos Moraitis moved on the same wavelength, who stated that “against all these anti-democratic strategies, until today we spoke about those who organized and implemented the diversion and the black page on the Left. In the next few hours we will talk about him and those who inspired the diversion”.
And Maria Kaludioti stated that “I also came to Koumoundourou as a member of the KOES to be informed and they excluded me in a happy way, citing workload Ms. Simeonidou. I cannot conceive of a Left that excludes members of the CET and 1,934 signatures of congressmen talking about NOT excluding candidates and congressmen”.

Kasselakis’ invitation to the SYRIZA conference
Stefanos Kasselakis asks the delegates who support him to be outside the SYRIZA conference on Friday afternoon (8/11), asking them to be calm and not to respond to provocations.
“Because the times are critical: I am calling on all of our elected delegates to be off the convention floor. The Republic will peacefully say #Iam_here”, he says in his post on social media.
“I appeal to all of you who come from all corners of Greece and traveled miles. I am appealing to all of you who were elected delegates but did not send you an sms or email and they will cut you off at the entrance with this is what I want: Be cool. Sober. Please do not respond to challenges. They are sure to challenge you. They seek episodes to wash away their shame and diffuse the responsibilities,” he points out.
And Stefanos Kasselaki concludes in his post: “Democracy does not fight for its right. Democracy defends its right peacefully. With faith, with stubbornness, with struggle. But always peacefully. Don’t forget: Our common journey is just beginning.”

**Interview with Theodora Tzakri, SYRIZA Delegate and Supporter of Stefanos Kasselakis**
*Interviewer:* Thank you for joining us today, Ms. Tzakri. We’ve witnessed significant enthusiasm among Kasselakis supporters outside Gazi Live, even with the SYRIZA congress scheduled for later this evening. What do you attribute this turnout to?
*Theodora Tzakri:* Thank you for having me. The turnout is a clear demonstration of the overwhelming support for Stefanos Kasselakis among the delegates. We believe that the party bureaucracy is attempting to sideline him, but clearly, the grassroots support is strong. The long queues outside are a testament to that determination.
*Interviewer:* You mentioned “anti-democratic strategies” in your recent statements. Can you elaborate on what you mean by that?
*Theodora Tzakri:* Absolutely. Many delegates are arriving in Athens yet facing obstacles about their participation in the congress. It’s concerning that so many—especially from large Prefectural Organizations—are still uncertain about their status. The lack of transparency from the party leadership raises serious questions about the democratic processes within SYRIZA.
*Interviewer:* Earlier, you indicated that you would present over 1,934 signatures in favor of Kasselakis’s candidacy. Why do you think this number is significant?
*Theodora Tzakri:* Those signatures represent a collective voice demanding inclusion and fairness. They signify that more than 2,000 members broadly support Kasselakis and firmly believe he should have a chance to run for leadership. This is a crucial moment for our party, as we strive for democracy and open inclusion.
*Interviewer:* You and other Kasselakis supporters are clearly advocating for transparency in the congress. What do you hope to achieve by protesting these procedures?
*Theodora Tzakri:* Our aim is simple: we want an open and democratic process where all voices are heard. We will not allow the exclusion of any elected congressman or candidate within our party. The message we want to convey is resolute: democracy must prevail, and we will be heard.
*Interviewer:* Stefanos Kasselakis has called on his supporters to remain calm and peaceful in the face of tensions. How do you interpret that message?
*Theodora Tzakri:* I see that as a strong call for unity and resilience. Kasselakis wants to ensure that our fight for democracy remains peaceful and respectful, even amidst intimidation or provocations. His leadership style promotes civil discourse, and that’s something we should all uphold.
*Interviewer:* Thank you for your insights, Ms. Tzakri. It will be interesting to see how things unfold later today at the congress.
*Theodora Tzakri:* Thank you for having me. We are hopeful and ready to stand firm for the values we believe in. Democracy will win!
