Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Syrian authorities announced, on Friday, that 3 people were killed in missile strikes, accusing Israel of being behind the attack, which rarely acknowledges attacks on Syria.
The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) stated that the Syrian air defenses responded to “an Israeli aggression with missiles targeting some points in southern Damascus, and brought down most of them.”
“SANA” quoted a Syrian military source as saying that “at regarding 01:23 on Friday evening, the Israeli enemy carried out an aggression with surface-to-surface missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points in the south of Damascus,” he said.
The source added: “Our air defenses confronted the aggression’s missiles and shot down most of them, and the aggression led to the death of 3 martyrs and the infliction of some material losses.”
