Syngenta India, a leading agri-tech company, announced the launch of two crop protection products – Miravis®️ Duo and Reflect®️ Top.

“Miravis® Duo, powered by ADEPIDYN®️ technology, is a fungicide approved for use in tomatoes, peppers, peanuts and grapes. It provides excellent control of diseases such as powdery mildew, anthracnose and leaf spot. It offers strong efficacy, persistence and broad spectrum disease control,” Syngenta said in a press release.

It is estimated that farmers worldwide lose up to 23% of their crops to fungal diseases each year. Miravis® Duo provides strong and reliable disease protection for crops, allowing growers to achieve better yields and significantly improve their return on investment.

Syngenta said: “Reflect®️ Top, with dual combination technology, is a fungicide specifically designed for India’s staple rice. It provides effective protection against sheath blight, ensuring long-term disease control and providing a strong foundation for the crop.”

Susheel Kumar, President and Managing Director of Syngenta India, said: “Reflect’s unique dual-combination technology® Top Provides strong and long-lasting protection against rice sheath blight. It leaves the stalks clean, green and healthy. It ensures enhanced bio-efficacy and longevity against rice sheath blight. It is a state-of-the-art solution that gives peace of mind to rice growers by providing a strong crop foundation. Use Reflect® Top rice farmers can achieve optimal crop health at the crop growth stage to further grow the crop better.

Kumar said the program is initially expected to cover India’s four main crops – chilli, tomatoes, peanuts and grapes – but is likely to be extended to more crops. “Providing reliable disease control solutions to Indian growers will help boost the local economy and export markets, as chilli vegetables alone account for more than a third of the country’s total spice exports,” he said. India’s red chilli exports reached $1.5 billion last fiscal year, up 15% from the previous year. India is also the world’s second-largest producer of tomatoes; however, the country’s tropical climate could increase disease pressure.
