‘Synduality’ is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi shooter from Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco has announced a new sci-fi shooter Synduality at Sony’s latest State Of Play presentation.

Synduality is set in the year 2222 “years following a mysterious poisonous rain called ‘Tears of the New Moon’ wiped out most of humanity and spawned warped creatures that now hunt the populace,” according to the official synopsis .

“In the midst of the calamity, humans are forced to build an underground refuge named Amasia, where they discover and begin collaborating with forms of artificial intelligence called Magus. » Synduality will see players take on the role of Drifters, “people who make a living by collecting the rare resource of AO crystals” with the help of a customizable weaponized vehicle known as the Cradle Coffin.

On the plus side, Drifters will be able to use their AI partners to “guide them through their journey, aid them in combat, and provide directions, advice, and warnings.” However, players will also have to deal with “xenomorphic creatures known as Enders”.

The concept for Synduality “started a few years ago when our team got together and had a passionate discussion regarding how we can break into or even break the whole barrier of the sci-fi genre,” producer Yosuke Futami wrote.
