The educational community of school 343 led a symbolic hug in demand for building improvements in the establishment located in the Unión neighborhood, south of Bariloche.
The initiative corresponded to a group of parents although students, teachers and members of the Unter teachers’ union also joined.
«We ask for the lack of maintenance. There is broken glass for more than a year that has not been replaced. The kitchen is small and has an oven that does not have much gas power when cooking for 160 people,” summed up Amalia Medrano, one of the mothers who participated in the symbolic hug.
In addition, the establishment does not have a dining room and the children eat in the corridors or in the classrooms. “When they do it in the corridor, the tables are lowered and the emergency exits are blocked,” he said.
Another claim is focused on the bathrooms that do not have hot water and the chains do not work.
Medrano also mentioned that the external paint is “graffiti” and the access road to the school is flooded. “They have covered a large hole caused by the drainage of the water, but it continues to accumulate,” he said.
Some 157 students attend school 343extended day mode.
«Let’s hope that this claim reaches the ears of the School Council because we are in a state of total abandonment. On several occasions, Maintenance personnel come, but they do not have elements and they do not solve it, “he said.
