In an interview with Paris Match, Sylvie Vartan returned to the two tragedies of her life. Two years later, Sylvie Vartan was the victim of another accident on an icy road at the entrance to the village of Roppe (Bourgogne-Franche-Comté). While she was on her way to a gala with Johnny Hallyday and three others, the vehicle driven by the French rock star skidded around a bend and plunged into a ditch. “I went through the windshield and I thought I was disfigured,” said the singer’s ex-wife.

“I was happy David wasn’t in the car”

“In the end, I had a very good operation. I was happy to have my life saved and that David [Hallyday, son fils, ndlr] was not in the car. In these serious moments, it was for him that I fought, not for my career. Afterwards, I went with him to the United States to have a second operation. » For his part, Johnny Hallyday escaped with only a broken nose.

Sylvie Vartan is now in a relationship with American producer Tony Scotti. The lovebirds, married since 1984, adopted a little girl named Darina in October 1997.
