Let’s start this article with a few caveats. The first is that you can imagine it, even without spoiling the game, you can’t normally pick up the Legend Sword from the start of the gameyou must first have made good progress.
Therefore, do not make this glitch on your Tears of the Kingdom main save for several reasons. The first is that picking up such a strong sword early in the game will totally unbalance the game and that you will ruin your adventure.
The other problem is that this Master Sword will intervene at several points in the game and taking it from the start could cause some rather funny bugs at best and at worst bugs that could completely prevent you from advancing in the rest of the adventure!
If this glitch is rather funny, so do it on a secondary save in order to test it before you can go back to your main save to continue your adventure. But then, how to reproduce it in your games? This is what we will see in the rest of this article.
To reproduce it, you will have to progress in your game and finish the tutorial. Once that’s done, go to the In Isa Shrine level. Once inside, the game will autosave. Go to options and choose exit to menu.
From the menu, choose to start a new game. Then move forward in the tutorial until you reach a large staircase just before Ganon. Once you are there, go to the menus and save the game. Then choose to load a game and do it with the one from In Isa Shrine.
Head to the door in front of you and break it. Take a rock on the right, go through the broken door, then turn to your right. Drop it right next to the fire fruits, as close to the wall as possible. Climb onto the rock and get as close to the wall as possible.
Go to the menu, drop your first weapon and select the second. Exit and quickly return to the menu with the “+” key. Then drop the second weapon and quickly load the part where you are in front of the stairs. You will then find nearby the first weapon dropped in the other save!
If you open the menu then you can select the found weapon and the legendary Sword, choose that one and make a save. Then do the previous maneuver with the Master Sword as your first weapon. Then load the sanctuary save where the Master Sword will now be against the right wall after breaking down the door again!
