Goal achieved? Switzerland is one of the few countries to have seen its inflation rate fall below 2%. In June, it reached 1.7% on an annual basis, for the first time since January 2022. The inflation thus returns to the price stability objective of the Swiss National Bank (SNB), i.e. between 0 and 2%. . And yet, “inflation is still very high,” pointed out Andréa Maechler, a member of the institution’s management until the end of last month, in an interview with Temps.
