Swisscom wins all four speed awards and ranks at least first in all experience metrics except 5G voice application experience, according to Opensignal’s comprehensive report published at this addressto be taken with some hindsight.

The only change from the previous report is that Swisscom now shares Core Consistent Quality with Salt, although it retains Excellent Consistent Quality for itself. For this report, Open analyzed the mobile networks of Salt, Sunrise and Swisscom over a period of 90 days.
Swisscom’s download speed reaches 72.7 Mbits/sec, 17.5 Mbits/sec (31.6%) faster than that of second-placed Salt, while it leads Salt by 2.8 Mbits/sec (17.2%) for upload speed. When it comes to 5G, Swisscom wins download speed with a score of 218.6 Mbits/sec, Sunrise taking second place with 50 Mbits/sec less.
Salt sometimes catches up with Swisscom…
Salt shares the Core Consistent Quality award following joining Swisscom, the previous winner. Both operators win with statistically similar scores of 93.1-93.2%. Swisscom wins Excellent Consistent Quality award for third time in a row; this time with a score of 88.3% and a lead of 1.4 percentage points over the nearest operator, Salt.
Once once more, the three carriers are statistically tied for 5G gaming experience with a score of 87.7 to 88.3 points on a 100 point scale. All three rank in the Excellent category (85 or higher), which means that the vast majority of users rate this network experience as acceptable. Here, we are far from excellence!
