Art is in the eye of the beholder. At the new Zurich “crime scene: shadow children” even in the tattooed (ouch!) eyeball!
More on that later: The television criticism from the north!
It is a well-known fact that the third time becomes something of a tradition. They investigate on the job: Isabelle Grandjean (played by Anna Pieri Zuercher) and Tessa Ott (Carol Schuler) handle their story like Swiss clockwork. However, the cogs in the rollers (keyword: teamwork) are not running smoothly at first.
One (Grandjean), as a law expert always thinking, clearly on track. The other (Ott) is moved, rebellious because so much more is swirling through the case analyst’s head. Private problems, dark character history, private frustration, like a beer … All of this also belongs in these 88 minutes “crime scene” – like the holes in the Emmental.
Her corpse: neatly packed in plastic, mysteriously decorated with the tattoo needle. Even the eyes full of dark ink. psycho murder? Bad luck with solo sex? Conspiracy or an alert regarding extraterrestrials? We last had that with the record investigators from Münster (D). It went horribly wrong.
The mysterious in Zurich? Works fine here. Maybe because of a touch of Michael Jackson.
I beg your pardon? «Thriller», or what? The King of Pop eats into the viewer’s subconscious somewhere. No, not because of the pale corpse. When the word “propofol” is mentioned, Jacko’s mind whirls in the case. While watching, make sure that your brain also associates!
The anesthetic that victim Cosmo (played by Vincent Furrer) apparently uses to escape the pain of a bitter childhood becomes a prescription supporting actor from the pharmacy.
Just like the electric razor (there are three real shaved heads at the beginning) and the tattoo needle of the object artist Kyomi (Sarah Hostettler).
Is this “crime scene” art, or can it go away? Curiosity regarding the unseen creates an appetite for more at the Zurich «crime scene», just like at a real vernissage. Also thanks to small moments. Like dem: A shared cigarette was often the beginning of completely different friendships. The investigators approach. With two puffs on a cigarette. Sisters in nicotine before the blazing finale on the mini-island Schönenwirt.
Best dialogue: Ott: “If I no longer recognize myself in the mirror, will that free me from myself?” Grandjean: «If you no longer recognize yourself in the mirror, you need glasses…»
Funny: Prosecutor Anita Wegenast is annoyed by the “Blick” colleague Kaufmann, who has called “five times in two days”. Good job, colleagues! PS: Does Mr. Kaufmann really exist?
Conclusion: If the “crime scene” from Zurich continues to move in this form, there will soon be murder quotas in Germany.
