Swiss Sports Awards: six Olympic heroes from Beijing among the twelve nominated – rts.ch

The Sports Awards will reward the best sportswoman and the best Swiss sportsman of the year on Sunday December 11 (from 8:05 p.m. on RTS2). Among the nominees are many Olympic heroes from Beijing.

Six finalists of each gender are competing for the succession of Belinda Bencic and Marco Odermatt, who had been named Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year in 2021.

Odermatt once once more belongs to the list of nominees this year. Alongside the giant Olympic champion, we find Beat Feuz, Olympic downhill champion. The list is completed by the great hope in athletics Simon Ehammer, by the revelation in swimming Noè Ponti, by the mountain bike world champion Nino Schurter and by the king of Swiss wrestling, Joel Wicki.

Among the ladies, we will find 3 skiers crowned Olympic champions with Michelle Gisin (combined), Lara Gut-Behrami (super-G) and Corinne Suter (downhill). They will be challenged by the trio Mathilde Gremaud (freestyle skiing/Olympic champion), Marlen Reusser (cycling) and the fastest sprinter in Europe Mujinga Kambundji.
