The President of the Confederation will be received by the King, Queen and other members of the British royal family on Friday in London. The meeting will take place at Buckingham Palace, its communications department said on Tuesday.

The meeting will take place the day before the coronation ceremony and will be an opportunity for Alain Berset to congratulate King Charles III and Queen Camilla on behalf of the Federal Council and the Swiss people, wishing them a long and prosperous reign.
On Saturday 6 May, the President of the Confederation will attend the coronation festivities alongside several dozen other heads of state from around the world.

Among them, the French presidents Emmanuel Macron, German Frank-Walter Steinmeier, or the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. US President Joe Biden will be represented by his wife Jill.
Several crowned heads will also be present, including Willem-Alexander and Maxima of the Netherlands, Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife, Charlene, as well as the King and Queen of Spain Felipe VI and Letizia.
