According to police, the man stabbed the pregnant woman with a machete at her home on Thursday night. When her father arrived to help, he was also attacked and seriously injured. Other residents of the house realized what was happening and followed the perpetrator outside. There he injured a second woman, her three-month-old child and a neighbor who managed to grab the 34-year-old.
All victims were taken to hospital and required surgery. Police said no one’s life was in danger. Gas and spilled flammable liquid were found in the suspect’s apartment. The house was evacuated due to the risk of explosion.
