Ten-time Swiss international Seraina Friedli is ending her career with immediate effect. The 30-year-old goalkeeper justified her decision by the fact that she is no longer driven by the same passion. She wants to reorient herself professionally.
Friedli won the championship six times and the cup four times with FC Zurich. It was only this season that she was transferred to Belgium, to Anderlecht. In the national team, the Grisonne had to be patient behind Gaëlle Thalmann, who withdrew this summer. But she was in the selection for the 2017 and 2022 Euros and the 2023 World Cup.
Seraina Friedli will officially say goodbye on Friday December 1 as part of the international match against Sweden in Lucerne.
