Health costs are increasing and with them health insurance premiums: 8.7% this year. A blow that the Swiss will not soon forget. A trauma also which might be repeated in the future. While it is not yet possible to establish reliable projections for 2024 costs, the 2023 results provide indications of ongoing trends.
And the news is bad: health costs covered by compulsory health insurance (AOS) increased by 4.6% last year. Much more than the increase recorded in 2022, which was 2.6%.
