As part of the popular benefit concert series “Swing in the Fields” by the Rotary Club Braunau-Simbach, the “Bratislava Hot Serenaders” will be guests next Friday, August 25th at the Irghof in St. Georgen near Obernberg. Admission is from 5.30 p.m., the preliminary program begins at 6.30 p.m., the concert begins at 8 p.m.
Formed in 1991, the Bratislava Hot Serenaders are among the most renowned swing bands in Europe. 17 albums have been released in the past three decades. The 20 musicians have already been guests at all well-known European swing and jazz festivals. Song material by music greats such as Duke Ellington or Paul Whiteman is interpreted. The program is supplemented by Czech, Slovak and other European classics of the swing era.
The net proceeds from the event will benefit the pro mente project Elco/Kico (coaching and advice for families with a mentally ill parent). More under www.irghof.at
