The Gymfit Sucre academy came away with five medals from the Ciudad Jardín Open, held this weekend in Maracay, Aragua state.
In this competition, which had the participation of 60 athletes from 12 states, the eastern entity had a relevant performance, managing to position itself in the first places in various categories.
Among the winners are Lia Fernanda Esteves Romero, with 1st place, and Miranda Ortiz 3rd place, in the 6-year-old category; Nirvana Centeno, obtained sixth place in the 11-year-old category and Samantha La Manna, also 6th place, in the 12-year-old category.
This academy has already represented the state of Sucre in other competitions, always leaving the name of the entity high.
Robines Indriago, teacher, pointed out that “each competition is a new experience where it is a mountain of emotions. When I see the girls on stage I feel that I am the one who is living that choreography for which we have worked for months, days and hours.”
For her, it is a satisfaction and a happiness to be the guide of these little girls, and that is why “every victory or defeat I feel is mine, but on this occasion I feel full of pride for the achievements obtained that are much more than the medal. I thank each parent for their support, Carla Pérez for the choreography and Professor Ynes for her support. At the club we are sure that we are going for more.”
