**Axel:** It’s an unbelievable feeling, to be honest. There’s no better way to start a tournament like this. To score, help the team win, and play in front of our home crowd was just amazing.



**(HOST):** You certainly put on a show for the Swedish fans! That late go-ahead goal, that was a thing of beauty. Walk us through that moment.



**Axel:** We were pushing hard in the second period, and the puck came to me at the faceoff dot. I saw a bit of a gap and just let it rip. It felt good off the stick, and thankfully it went in. The crowd erupted, and that really lifted our spirits.



**(HOST):** You were drafted 17th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in this year’s NHL Draft. Does that extra pressure, that expectation, help you elevate your game?



**Axel:** For sure, being drafted by such a storied franchise like Detroit is a huge honor. I feel thier support, but I mainly focus on playing my game, contributing to the team, and learning as much as possible.



**(HOST):** Sweden looks strong this year at the World Juniors. What are the team’s goals for this tournament?



**Axel:** We have high expectations. We want to compete for gold every year. This team has a lot of talent and passion. we’re taking it one game at a time, but we believe we can achieve something special.
