STOCKHOLM — For Swedish artist Mikael Genberg, a dream that began over 25 years ago is finally becoming a reality.This week,a tiny red house,a symbol of conventional Swedish architecture,is set to make its way to the moon. The Moonhouse, about the size of a large hand, will be transported to the moon aboard a lunar lander operated by the Japanese company ispace. “It was a crazy, maybe idiotic, but simultaneously occurring, in my mind, really poetic thought to put a red house with white corners on the surface of the moon,” Genberg shared in a Facebook video. “And now it’s going to happen.” He emphasized, “What’s the purpose? It’s art.”
