SWDE prioritizes safety measures following youth hostel food poisoning incident

The Walloon Water Company (SWDE) has declared that the water in a district of Malmedy is unfit for consumption following the food poisoning of around thirty teenagers who were staying at the Bévercé youth hostel. This announcement was made on Friday afternoon. Analyzes are currently underway to determine the cause of the food poisoning that led to the hospitalization of a dozen teenagers from Thuin on Thursday night. The SWDE has decided to declare the water non-compliant with consumption in the affected district in case running water consumption could be incriminated.
