Blaz Udovcic (left) and Benedikt Schiefer, who were injured in the fall, will miss the indoor tournaments, but should then be able to fully begin their preparation. Otherwise, SVg Purgstall goes into the indoor season with the best squad available.

Purgstall competes as defending champion at the indoor masters in Ybbs and Amstetten. Wieselburgers complete interval runs.
SVg Purgstall. Purgstall’s kickers have been lacing up their indoor shoes since last week following a short break. The reason for the increased units in the hall are the upcoming challenges at the indoor masters of the ASK Ybbs (December 30th) and the SKU Amstetten (January 6th).
The Erlauftalers start as defending champions in both tournaments. Chairman Gerhard Buchegger is therefore certain: “We will prepare specifically for the two indoor tournaments and compete with the best squad available.” Only Blaz Udovcic and Benedikt Schiefer, who were injured in the autumn, will not be there for the band magic. There will be no new faces, as Buchegger confirms: “We won’t change in the winter.”
SC Wieselburg. A similar picture emerges at SC Wieselburg. The transfer carousel is also at a standstill in the Braustadt this winter. SCW coach Rudi Vogel knows: “Everything will stay the same for us. I assume that we will start the second half of the season unchanged.” However, his players are not remaining idle following the intense autumn. An interval run and indoor training have been on the program every week since the beginning of December.
The “normal” preparation phase starts on January 22nd. A training camp will not be held, as Vogel reports: “We have nothing planned, we are a tight-knit unit and have been together as a team for a long time. Since we don’t have to integrate any new recruits, a training camp isn’t absolutely necessary for me.”
