SV Ried: Transfer of striker Wilfried Eza probably only a matter of form

The intensive negotiations between SV Guntamatic Ried and the Armenian club Ararat-Armenia about signing center forward Wilfried Eza (26) are likely to be finalized very soon. For several days, the club officials in Rieder, with sports director Wolfgang Fiala, have been trying to find the striker from Ivory Coast, OÖN reported on August 11th. It is agreed with the player that there is already a signed contract. “We also agree with the club, with which there is a very good basis for discussion, about the transfer modalities. Among other things, it is now only about the obligatory medical test,” said Fiala on Tuesday when asked by OÖN.

The Red-White-Red Card, which is necessary as a work permit, has already been applied for. As soon as the last formalities with Eza’s club have been clarified, the transfer will be officially announced in a press release, according to the sporting director. The 26-year-old has scored 27 goals in 76 competitive games for FC Ararat-Armenia. The Rieder hope that Eza will also become a top scorer in the second division in the Innviertel. The Ivorian was also linked in the media with a move to Bundesliga club Austria Klagenfurt. But the Rieder should make the race.

Next Friday, SV Ried will be visiting FC Liefering in the second away game of the second division season. The game starts at 6:10 p.m. in the Red Bull Arena in Wals near Salzburg.
